Julianna
"Jules"
Canine Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCC)


Julianna is a student at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine with her VMD anticipated in May 2026. She currently holds a Canine Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCC) certification. Jules was a division one athlete, playing Field Hockey for The Ohio State University. She routinely worked with a personal trainer to achieve sport specific fitness goals, hence her love for tailoring sport specific fitness programs to canines. Jules spent the 2024 summer at the Penn Vet Working Dog Center with the Penn Vet Sport's and Performance Medicine team assisting in research projects, dog training, and medical evaluations and interventions. In addition to her training at PennVet, she has externed with Florida Veterinary Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, University of Tennessee's Veterinary Sports Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation, Texas A & M's Veterinary Emergency Team, and Cornell University's Sport's Medicine department. Jules is a two time recipient of the AKC Veterinary Outreach Scholarship in 2024 and 2025, where she was recognized for her dedication to the health and welfare of dogs. She has experience in training agility, nosework, herding, and dock diving in addition to instructing two AKC Canine Good Citizen test prep classes. She now finds herself training as a Wilderness Search and Rescue k9 handler with her dog Foxy.
Kristina

Kristina is a veterinarian with a special interest in working and sporting dog occupational health. She is a Certified Canine Athlete Specialist (CCAS), a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and a United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy Running Coach. In addition to her veterinary work, Kristina coaches human athletes through Team Run Run, where she designs strength and running programs. Her foundation in human performance began with an immersive personal training internship at Binghamton University, where she studied exercise physiology, coaching methods, and program design. Kristina’s passion for canine performance evolved alongside her veterinary training and includes hands-on experience with the PennVet Working Dog Center in fitness, detection, and law enforcement K9 training, as well as research into the occupational hazards faced by wilderness search and rescue (SAR) dogs. Kristina has completed clinical externships in sports medicine at Cornell University, the University of Missouri, and the Veterinary Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Group (VOSM) as well as with Texas A&M's Veterinary Emergency Team, furthering her love for the intersection of exercise physiology, canine occupational health, and emergency response. She has a background in dog sports such as disc, agility, herding, obedience, and canicross. Kristina is currently a wilderness search & rescue K9 handler with her certified air scent K9, Summit.

Foxy
Foxy is a 5 year old Belgian Malinois mix who is one of our demo dogs. Fox has participated in a variety of dog sport classes and loves to try new activities. She currently finds herself training as a Wilderness Search and Rescue K9. Foxy loves anything that has to do with a ball or tug!

Luther
Luth is a 5 year old German Shepherd Dog who will be making special guest appearances. Luther recently started dock diving and sheep herding, however Luth’s most favorite pass-time activities are chasing birds and frisbees, and hiking.

Summit
Summit is a 5 year old Border Collie who has the pleasure of being one of our demo dogs. Handled by Kristina, Summit is currently a certified air scent K9 for Wilderness Search & Rescue. While she has dabbled in a little bit of everything, her favorite activities are disc, tug, and anything where she can run as fast as possible!

Cypher
Cypher is a 1-year-old Belgian Malinois currently in training as an Air Scent K9 for Wilderness Search & Rescue, handled by Kristina's partner. He’s learning the ropes of fitness and building the strength, stamina, and body awareness needed for the demanding work of SAR. When he's not working hard, Cypher keeps everyone entertained with his goofy personality and endless enthusiasm.
